The 2008 B-King Analysis Continues…
Continued from the previous post… I can imagine that your eggs will be boiled during a hot summer day unless you go fast which is another thing to do really easily on this bike. The onboard instruments look clean and elegant mixed with digital and analog technology. It is a kind of funny thing when you turn the ignition key on it will remind you about what you are going to ride – just in case you have a bad memory – before the important stuff appears. The moment you turn the B-king’s engine on will give you a false feeling like it is very docile. There are no annoying vibrations through the handlebars or a big noise you would expect from a huge cc engine like this. Do you know why the exhausts are so big? Because they are stuffed with environmentally friendly gadgets and noise reduction parts to keep the bike road legal and certainly the engineers succeeded judge by the size. Put it in first gear to note immediately the high precision gearbox which is usual part on Suzuki bikes. However it is very advisable to warm up the tyres correctly because you will find yourself doing wheelies or spinning the rear wheel insanely in the first third gears without making any efforts to achieve it. If you look at the bike you will suspect that it is a heavy one and you will be right but what you wouldn’t expect that it simply loves to be thrown into bends and not just into the slight ones. Actually it behaves like a much smaller motorcycle which is very rare feeling among naked bikes. The front wheel gives you plenty of feedback to increase your confidence and as usual the throttle response is very quick and the power mapping is user friendly. In order to control such a huge power output this bike is capable of unleash the brakes will come to your aid and they do their work perfectly and slow this monster with incredible speed. Regarding the service intervals please don’t expect the rear tyre and the chain to last very long because at the end of the day the 2008 B king is still a huge and heavy contender disguised by its precise handling. Actually this is the kind of bike where you can really feel the weight of the years which allowed Suzuki to build such a high quality performance naked bike with the rider in mind first.
